Festive~

Good evening, guys! By the time you are reading this,…. it’s Christmas day today, so Merry Xmas to everyone. I hope you all have a wonderful day every day. So, what is your plan? Are you spending your precious time with your family, friends, or loved one? Whoever you wish to hang out with or even if you just celebrate all by yourself just like me, I hope you are happy.

I do not wish to ruin your day with my not so positive thoughts, so here is how my day went. I woke up at around half past ten and ate my leftover burger king from last night. Hahaha! Sounds amazing already, correct? Today last year was no different from this year at all except for the fact that I never celebrated Christmas because it is not a thing in my family. No, we do not have a feast or party or exchange gift even if it is something I usually force on to them when I was a child, then it rubbed off on them a little bit. Cute! xoxo. I am far away from my family and friends at the moment. That is right. I am still in Seoul. I tried piling on my to-do-list just to get out of my hotel room and the fact that my hotel is an hour away from the popular places like Myeongdong or Gyeongbokgung really helped a lot with me trying to kill time. Therefore, I decided to do Christmas shopping for my soon to be sister in law and not so soon to be sister in law. Did I mention I have two brothers? No, I didn’t. Now, you know. I bought them both face masks. Two brands actually, Etude House and Innisfree. They are for my friends as well. Why am I telling you guys this? Well, I hope it gives you an idea on how to spend Christmas all by yourself. Hehehe! Today errand was also to get my friend a sweater when I am back at my home country, but he did not reply to my chat. Ugh! So much for asking me to run an errand for him. We are not even close. Sucks! No, I do not mind when being asked for a favor, but I wish he would be all in not half in. Get what I mean? Girl, this is what happened when you are not a priority.

Anyway, what I want to share honestly is that holidays can be a bit overwhelming and frustrating, especially when you have no want to be there with. When you step out of the house and all you can see is couples, groups of friends, and family and then there you are sitting all by yourself in a restaurant. It sure is putting your mood down. It is indeed lonely. However, it is alright. Accept that sad feeling inside you. You are allowed to feel bitter on such festive days. Just remember that next year or the after one can be better. One day, you are going to have someone special to share this beautiful moment with. Your turn will come when you least expected. Don’t give up just yet.

Additionally, you know what? When you are all by yourself, you can do whatever you want, whenever you want. I have always wanted to try Baskin Robbins ice cream and finally, I got to do it! We don’t have BR in our country, so this was my first time tasting this delicious baby! The flavor is cotton candy and I absolutely love it! It is so tasty. ❤
